Santosh G Honavar completed his basic medical education at Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, and his post-graduate training at the All India Institute for Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He completed a second fellowship, in Ocular Oncology at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, USA. His clinical interests include ocular and adnexal tumours and ophthalmic plastic surgery and orbital diseases, particularly in pediatric patients. His research interests lie in tumours of the ocular surface, eyelid and orbit, retinoblastoma, ptosis and pediatric lacrimal disorders. Santosh G Honavar has been recognised by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and by several other professional organisations, for his excellence in research and clinical practice. He has published and presented widely.

Vikramjit Kanwar, M.D.

Dr. Kanwar has completed his basic medical education and graduation in MD Pediatrics in AIIMS, New Delhi. He has done his Residency from UK, and 3 Fellowships in Pediatric Heamtology-Oncology from University of California, Irvine Medical Center, Orange County, CA, and St Jude's Children's Research Hospital , Memphis Tenessee. HE also has an MBA from William E Simon Graduate School, Rochester, NY.

As part of the region's only Children's Hospital, Dr. Kanwar specializes in diagnosing and treating infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of childhood cancers and blood disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, brain, tumors, anemias, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, Von Willebrand's disease, white blood cell disorders, platelet problems and histiocytosis.

Dr. Sameer Bakhshi, completed his basic medical education at JIPMER Pondicherry, and his post-graduation in MD PEdiatrics at the All India Institute for Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He then did his Residency and fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. He then returned to a Faculty position at AIIMS. At the IRCH AIIMS he is Faculty in charge for Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation,, as well as Faculty incharge from Medical Oncology perspective of following clinics: Pediatric Surgical Tumor Clinic, Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic, Ophthalmic Tumor Clinic. His special research interests are leukemias, sarcoma and retinoblastoma.

His achievements as CLINICAL FACULTY :
  • Initiated and Developed Pediatric Oncology in the department of Medical Oncology at IRCH, AIIMS.
  • Augmented the chemotherapy aspects of Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic.
  • Performed more than 75 stem cell transplantations in children with cancer.
  • Initiated multiple research projects related to Leukemia, Lymphoma and Bone Tumors.
  • Guide for various projects for MD, DM (Medical Oncology) and PhD Students.
  • Coordinator for teaching program of DM Medical Oncology Training at IRCH, AIIMS.
